Driving Directions from Nelson

Follow the highway from Nelson towards Castlegar for 4 km

Just before the Taghum Bridge make a left onto Granite Road. Follow for 1.5 km, past Taghum Beach.

Make a right onto Bedford Road, follow it all the way up the hill until it ends at a T-junction with Blewett Road (approximately 4 km)

Make a right onto Blewett Road and follow for 2.4 km.

Turn left onto Shasheen Kennel Road and take the first driveway on the right (4120 Shasheen Road)

Park anywhere in the yard - come to the upper blue door. There is a bell on the left.

Driving Directions from Castlegar

Follow Highway 3A from Castlegar towards Nelson, past the junction of highways 3A and 6.

After you pass the railroad bridge and the Dam Inn Pub on your right, look for the turnoff to Blewett Road on your right.

Turn right onto Blewett Road and follow it for 8 km. You will pass the railroad tracks, two bridges, and 49 Creek with a sharp switchback.

Turn right onto Shasheen Kennel Road and take the first driveway on the right (4120 Shasheen Road)

Park anywhere in the yard - come to the upper blue door. There is a bell on the left.

Bus Service to Blewett

I will try to accommodate your appointment times around the bus schedule.

Ask to be let off at Shasheen Kennel Road and walk up to the first driveway on the right (4120 Shasheen Kennel Road).

Fares are $ 2.25 (adults) and $ 1.75 (students/seniors). Mondays to Fridays. Please also check for schedules in the papers and on the BC Transit website.
